For the Aichi Trennale 2016, 119 visual artists from 38 different countries were invited, dentre os quais Laura Lima (BR), João Modé (BR), Mark Manders (Holland), Allora & Calzadilla (Puerto Rico), Mariana Castillo Debal (Mexico/Germany),Yornel Martinez (Cuba) Natascha Sadr Haghighian (Germany), Ignas Krungluvicius (Noruega), Iman Issa (Egipt/EUA), Udam UuDam Tran Nguyen (Vietnam), Mauro Restiffe (BR). The curatorial team was comprised of Haito Masahiko, Daniela Castro, Zeynep Öz, Tadashi Kanai, Hiroyki Hattori and Artistic Director Chihiro Minato.
